In English I had to write a Haiku poem for every season so here is what I have done 

Winter❄️ 

I was very cold

the ice was slippery cold 

and I was freezing

Spring🌱

Bluebells glow purple 

even yellow daffodils 

spring blooms summer sun 

Summer🌻 

The fresh summer breeze  
Ice blocks give me brain freeze 
Summer is my thing 

Autumn🍂
As Autumns first leaves 
Begin to slowly fall they dance 
Captured by the breeze   

What is a Haiku...... 
A Haiku is a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world.

Metaphor and Similes

My name is Lucy, 
 in English this year 2020 I am year 10. I have been learning about metaphors and similes this is what I have found out about both of them. 


What is a metaphor  ~ A figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable.  

What is a simile ~ A figure of speech involving the comparison of one thing with another thing of a different kind. (e.g. as brave as a lion ).
